Jessica Hambly is an incredible couture designer who I’ve followed on Instagram and Tiktok for years. I was elated when she decided to start her own clothing brand that not only catered to straight sizes but actual plus sizes up to a 5XL. Being a plus size herself, it was very important plus sizes be included in her line and I have to give big props to her for making it happen at brand launch and not down the line like so many other small businesses do. She was very very kind and gifted me this blouse that I had very much wanted when she announced she would be carrying it in black later on (it was originally launched in pink). It has metallic gold and silver embroidery that is just so pretty in person (See image below). Per her site instructions, if you are between sizes on her size chart, size up, so I asked for the blouse in a 4XL (I’m usually a 3XL). It fit absolutely perfect and wasn’t oversized at all (I usually order a size up in button ups because I have a very large bust, but sometimes I can go with my usual size, it just really depends)! The only issue I had was that the cuffs were too large, so if you have basic sewing skills, you can put a dart in the cuff to make it tighter (or you can take it to a tailor if you don’t), though it will add a little bit of bulk on the inside, but it’s not uncomfortable!
