The story behind this outfit, is that this is a 1990s girl who loves dark poetry, Jane Austen, listens to Tori Amos and baroque music, and sits in old English libraries on rainy days. Now that I’ve painted that picture for you, let’s get to this outfit! I’ve been lusting over this hat since Foxblood released it and was FINALLY able to snag the last one before it disappeared again! The ribbon tie makes it so romantic and whimsical. And then there’s this Betsey Johnson velvet lace up/corset top! It’s a call back to her velvet lace up dresses from her 1980s Punk label collection! Again, I am SO thrilled to own /be able to wear something by her that is so iconic. I really love how this outfit came together. The skirt and boots really tied it all up with a pretty little bow. I can’t wait until I’m actually able to wear it out somewhere instead of just in my living room for a few minutes!
